What Are QR Codes?

QR code simple definition

QR codes are a way to send information to mobile devices (e.g., a smartphone) using its camera. You send a short blurb of text, or a web address (URL) by representing it as a code which people photograph from their phone.

The QR codes (short for “Quick Response code”) are a two-dimensional version of bar codes, consisting of a box of black & white squares. The codes can vary in complexity.

My QR Code shown here is simple and very affective. Since I’ve been using this code I’ve been driving new traffic, ie; iPhone traffic to my website.

Google helps a lot by keeping me informed of my web traffic. I thought I’d share with you a chart of just how much QR codes are being used.

The next time you think about that little square box that seems to be popping up everywhere? Think about how you can use it for yourself in today’s fast moving world of internet technology!

If you have a QR code already I suggest that you start sharing it! You’ll be helping yourself to a lot of opportunities!

Have a GREAT DAY!
