A little pyramid history
The most famous of the pyramids is the one in Giza. Giza is the location of the Pyramid of Khufu (also known as the "Great Pyramid" and the "Pyramid of Cheops"); the somewhat smaller Pyramid of Khafre (or Kephren); the relatively modest-sized Pyramid of Menkaure (or Mykerinus), along with a number of smaller satellite edifices known as "Queen's pyramids"; and the Great Sphinx.
Of the three, only Khafre's pyramid retains part of its original polished limestone casing, near its apex. This pyramid appears larger than the adjacent Khufu pyramid by virtue of its more elevated location, and the steeper angle of inclination of its construction – it is, in fact, smaller in both height and volume.
The Giza Necropolis has been a popular tourist destination since antiquity, and was popularized in Hellenistic times when the Great Pyramid was listed by Antipater of Sidon as one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Today it is the only one of those wonders still in existence.
Pyramid schemes
A pyramid scheme is a non-sustainable business model that involves promising participants payment or services, primarily for enrolling other people into the scheme, rather than supplying any real investment or sale of products or services to the public.[1][2]
Pyramid schemes are illegal in many countries including Albania, Australia,[3][4] Austria,[5] Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, China,[6] Colombia,[7] Denmark, the Dominican Republic,[8] Estonia,[9] France, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Iran,[10] Italy,[11] Japan,[12] Malaysia, Mexico, Nepal, the Netherlands,[13] New Zealand,[14] Norway,[15] the Philippines,[16] Poland, Portugal, Romania,[17] South Africa,[18] Spain, Sri Lanka,[19] Sweden,[20] Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand,[21] Turkey,[22] the United Kingdom, and the United States.[23]
These types of schemes have existed for at least a century, some with variations to hide their true nature, and many people believe that multilevel marketing is also a pyramid scheme.
In my opinion
Network marketing has been given a bad reputation over the years primarily by those who can not work well with others. People join programs then fail, and because of their own inability to learn how to market themselves they consider the program a failure .
There aren’t any quick fixes and you will have to learn how to market advertise and promote yourself and a product when you join an affiliate program. Affiliate programs pay those who join the program a referral fee for sale of a product or service.
My company sells domain names, web hosting, video hosting, web conferencing, auto response software (Bulk email) and we offer FREE Training webcasts! Dawson’s Ark is about using affiliate programs to help others entering the Internet Marketing world have the tools they need to succeed online. All you need to do is use them.
In todays’ very competitive marketplace you need tools. The best tool you can have is your own ability to choose a company that has what you want to market and the service you need to market yourself. Get all of the information you can about what you are looking for.
If you have an idea or a product already I suggest that you start by getting your own domain name and you control what you want to represent. Make a video and put it on your website. Add some valuable content and an offer to purchase from or through you.
Don’t allow ignorance to creep in and discourage you. People don’t understand the difference between a legitimate company and pyramid schemes. Why? Because unlike you, they haven’t read this article and found out that they are already in the biggest pyramid of all. LIFE!
That’s right. If you have a job? If you vote? If you go to school? Or even if you go to Church? You are in a pyramid. It’s on our money and even our own family tree is shaped like a pyramid. So don’t be so hard on folks who use network marketing to create wealth.
I hope that this has helped you understand the difference between a legitimate company and one that is not.
Have a blessed day.
