America the beautiful?

They say that beauty is only skin deep.
So, when it comes to America is it
only beautiful from a staged photograph?
Only on a postcard?

For years Americans have boasted about
our own freedom and that we have
paid the price for those freedoms?
Soldiers have given their lives to
keep us safe from those who wish to kill
us on every side.

Actions do speak louder than words!
When I hear people say things like,
"I don't care" it proves to me that
people today are so blessed that they
can't see past their own individual
circumstance.

Poor people hate it when someone else
is smart enough to take advantage of
an opportunity and work towards their
goals and dreams.

Average people are so consumed trying to
make ends meet they haven't the time to
look up and enjoy the beauty of freedom.

Our country has become beautiful by the hands
of visionaries who sacrificed in order to build.
Entreneurs have been so blessed with new ideas
and new tools to make things easier while the
vast majority of people simply consume those
ideas and inventions. Not caring about where
they came from.

Now, our country has become has become a
nation of apathetic people who don't care
about their neighbors. Love thy neighbor
as you love yourself has been replaced
with do unto them before they do it to you.

Even though you may not care about a
particular cituation or circumstance
the person who does care might be trying to
find out why you don't care and be the ONE
who can help?

But, then again, it only takes a moment to
walk away from ignorance and apathy. I
really don't care to keep company with
negative people. People who say they don't
care about what I'm passionate about go on
the list I through in the trash. I don't
care to be around hateful people. They
always want to let you know everything they
don't like about anything and everything.

Maybe you don't care about the economy?
Maybe you don't care about religion?
Maybe you don't care about politics?

It's caring that made our country great!
