Affiliate Programs, aka MLM, Network Marketing, are generally Free to start or
join programs used by companies to market, advertise, and promote the company
products and/or services. I’ll bet the only thing you know about affiliate programs
is that they don’t work? Well, I’ll be one of the many, and because this is my article,
I’ll be the one to let you know that they do.

I want to help you understand why they didn’t work for you:
1. You didn’t Market
2. You didn’t Advertise
3. You didn’t Promote.

In nearly every affiliate program on the web there is one thing that most folks
don’t see, hear, or do when starting an affiliate program. I dare say that, most people
on the web don’t understand what an affiliate program is?
So, not knowing what to do ie; Market, Advertise, and Promote,
people start quickly then soon quit with a bad taste in their mouth
towards affiliate programs. In the simplest terms, You get paid to market,
advertise, and promote the affiliate program on behalf of the company.

Here’s what I mean. Let’s say that you’re looking at an affiliate program on the web?
I’ll use a common, well known company like Amazon.com because everyone has heard of Amazon.
Amazon will provide you with all of the tools that you need to:
1. Market
2. Advertise
3. Promote,
Amazon’s products, services, and help others do the same thing. You will get paid
when your referral makes a purchase through YOUR ID number, code, link or the website
provided to you by Amazon (Always check your affiliate program details).
The purpose is to drive traffic to your affiliate website using your ID# and different
Marketing, Advertising, and Promotional techniques.
When you make a sale for the company, they will pay you as defined in the
Affiliate Program Agreement.

Therein lies one of the problems which is, not being clear on your own
personal objective. Here are a couple tips that can help you when
considering an affiliate program. Keep in mind that most programs
operate with the same premis, and that is to give you the tools to
work with. If you do nothing you won’t get paid.
1. Clearly define your marketing strategy
2. Clearly define your advertising strategy and set aside funds specifically for advertising your business
3. Clearly define and understand how you are going to promote your business.

Here is a tip; If you take your affiliate program seriously by defining your M.A.P.
Strategy, and approach it as a “Business” you will be more successful.

I hope that you’ve learned something today and
that your efforts reap for you an abundance of wealth.

Sincerely,
Rob Dawson, CEO
